Human + Tech Week 2025 Afterparty: ART WALK!
Celebrate the creative spirit of Human+Tech Week with an unforgettable after-party that brings the week’s themes to life through art, wellness, and embodied exploration. The Art Walk is an evening of curated installations, interactive rituals, and sensory activations that explore the frontier where human meets technology—in the body, the spirit, the city, and beyond.
This is your chance to engage the six Human+Tech Week verticals through immersive experience:
VITAL — biohacking booths, elixirs, and longevity rituals
MESH — somatic art, emotional expression zones, and scent therapy
PEAK — movement performances and human optimization lounges
SYNC — interactive group installations and collaborative tech art
SOUL — intention-setting altars and mythic storytelling spaces
CITY — urban-future art, pop-up design pods, and architectural light play
Featured Experiences & Installations Include:
👽 Bare Metal — In computing, “bare metal” refers to software running directly on physical hardware, without any intervening layers like an operating system or virtual machine. It’s code meeting silicon with nothing in between. This multi-media creative work depicts diffusion models this very way: raw, ready, but empty - like a mirror with no reflection, until you step inside the field of vision. The model doesn’t think or feel, you do. You bring the context, the meaning, the ghosts. Your stories are software.
🎧 Opus Soundbed — A vibroacoustic experience where participants lie on a specially designed soundbed and feel immersive frequencies pulsing through their body. A meditative journey through music and sensation, inviting deep rest and nervous system recalibration.
🛋️ Crescendo Lounge — Co-founded by a team of music-tech pioneers, Crescendo transforms the act of listening into a full-body experience. Guests recline on tactile daybeds and feel the music in their bones, creating a unique space for social relaxation and sonic presence.
🎶 WalkXR: Music — To Connect, To Heal, To Transform — From the global creative community The Verse, this piece lets guests transform their soundscapes into AI-generated music flowers and end with a resonant group humming ritual.
✨ MIND — Created by artist Anna Zhang, this fictional tech demo unravels into a haunting narrative about memory editing, trauma labor, and blurred boundaries between AI and emotional truth.
🀄 Aging Out of Place — Michelle Hui’s participatory mahjong game overlays Chinatown elder portraits with civic data and collective storytelling to reimagine aging and belonging in urban landscapes.
🌀 Cogida and Death — By a Mutek-exhibited media artist, this interactive poetic experience invites tactile, sonic, and visual participation inspired by Lorca’s elegies.
🌄 Counterfactual nostalgia — AI video landscapes that feel familiar yet impossible, sites of extraction and industry reimagined as places of beauty.
🌸 Sidewalks — From nature-based artist Earthbits, this photo series of blooming wildflowers highlights the subtle intelligence of non-human collaboration.
📺 Seance Software — From the studio of NOCELLCOVERAGE, this ritual-inspired CRT installation explores how digital tools shape memory, stillness, and modern reflection.
🧬 LIGHTBOXES are enveloping light objects—both alive and still. They can be used in solo or group contemplative experiences, amplify the experiential medium of performance, or simply set an ambient mood.
☀️ AND THE SUN is an art and design studio engaged in culture, community, and contemplation — with rigor and care.
🌙 Dream States & Neuroimaginaries, This immersive projection series drifts through the dreamlike terrain of altered perception and symbolic memory. By layering Al-generated and found imagery into fluid, ethereal compositions, the work evokes psychological states-reverie, dissociation, awe-as shared spatial experiences. Inspired by neuropsychological research and subconscious logic, the installation gestures toward speculative futures of inner life made visible.
🎮 Memento Mori Still Life — A still life oil painting juxtaposing obsolete tech with decaying flora. Reflects the cycle of decay and rebirth that parallels human innovation.
💡 Show Up and Shine — An interactive installation by artist Isa that rewards presence. The longer a guest stays, the brighter their orb grows, symbolizing authentic embodiment.
🕶️ Pyrrhic’s Gift (VR) — A speculative world viewed through a Palantir drone, critiquing techno-capitalist accelerationism in a surreal, decaying future.
🧪 The Immortality Project — Documentary photography exploring Silicon Valley's biotech race for longevity, asking how radical life extension could reshape society.
🧠 PhilosophAI — A projection-based installation from Glish Group, visualizing the thoughts of philosophers from Aristotle to Harari through AI-generated imagery.
🎛️ Audiovisual MIDI Installations — Interactive VJ experiences by audiovisual technologist Adam Mutchler. Guests trigger and distort visuals using MIDI pads, cameras, and real-time data.
🌿 Touch Computer to Touch Grass — Created by Zoe Z, this L-shaped environmental projection explores digital ecologies and the yearning for reconnection through light, motion, and ritual.
