Reconnecting Britain: Digital inclusion for 2024 and beyond
PLEASE NOTE - Due to the announcement of the general election and the impact on priorities and workloads we have decided to move this to a virtual event, to make it as accessible as possible for everyone to attend. Joining details will be shared by email closer to the event.
With the national digital inclusion strategy now more than 10 years old, and digital access ever more critical in our daily lives, it’s time to reassess digital inclusion policy and take a bolder approach.
Join us at Reconnecting Britain on Monday 3 June from 15:00 – 17:00 on Google Meet to explore the big challenges of digital exclusion and the future direction of digital inclusion policy.
We will be looking at topics including digital inclusion as a driver of health equity and how policy innovations like missions might tackle digital exclusion. We will also be launching our new Digital Access Health Benefits Framework, which explains the impact of digital access on the social determinants of health, and sharing our policy proposals, designed for digital inclusion in 2024 and beyond.
We have three panels of exciting speakers addressing the topics:
Health equity speakers: Dominique Barron, Promising Trouble; Anna Studman, Ada Lovelace Institute; Madeleine Maxwell, Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust; Simone Currie, British Red Cross.
Mission-led policy speakers: Nick Kimber, Camden Council; Nai Lee Kalema, IIPP; Tom McGrath, Promising Trouble.
Policy proposals speakers: Anna Dent, Promising Trouble; Emma Stone, Good Things Foundation; Kat Dixon, Jangala, Shade Nathaniel-Ayodele. London Borough of Southwark.
