Wendy Kauffman is a seasoned communications professional and the founder of Wendolyn Reputation Management, specializing in crisis communications, ESG communications, and spokesperson training. With over two decades of experience, she excels at storytelling, thought leadership promotion, and creative campaign development.
Wendy's extensive experience in crisis planning and issues management is a testament to her ability to handle a wide range of challenging situations. Her expertise spans health pandemics, plant closures, layoffs, security threats, cyber-attacks, health and safety violations, and franchisee and customer service-related issues.
She is passionate about helping organizations responsibly express good corporate citizenship and using ESG as a framework to identify risks and opportunities and she is committed to promoting responsible business practices.
Wendy has trained over 200+ executives, industry professionals, advocates, community leaders and social advocates. She developed and launched several first-in-kind communications services and programs practice, leading to international awards and recognition.
Before creating her consulting practice, Wendy was the Vice President Reputation Management for a Toronto Communications & Public Affairs agency, where she managed their PR practice for over 20 years. She has worked with startups to international brands in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
Wendy's PR and communications expertise is built on a strong foundation of international journalism. Her training and experience at CNN, United Press International, and CTV News have given her a global perspective that she brings to her work.
Wendy regularly speaks at universities and industry associations, including the University of Toronto, the GTA Accountants and Finance Network, the Canadian Summit on Food Safety, and various podcasts. She writes on integrating ESG as risk management, reputational risks and opportunities of AI, and best practices in crisis communications.
Wendy is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. She holds the Global Competent Boards Sustainability & ESG Designation (GCB.D) and Certification, a certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University and completed the Indigenous Canada course from the University of Alberta.
Wendy is an active member of the March of Dimes of Canada Board, where she is also the chair of the Nominating Committee and a member of the Strategic Advisory Committee. She is also a Champions Circle member, an advisory group for a not-for-profit that develops strategies to end homelessness in York Region
