Our speakers, Rachel Liverman - Founder & CEO of Glowbar, Michelle Larivee - Founder & CEO of WTHN, Nadya Okamoto - Co-Founder of August, and Danielle DuBoise - Co-Founder of Sakara Life, will share their unique career journeys as female founders, offering insights into how they have successfully integrated self-care into their professional lives.

Speaker Bios:

Rachel Liverman is the Founder and CEO of Glowbar, a revolutionary brand upending the spa industry by making professional skin care accessible and affordable through 30-minute, customized, and solution-oriented facials. Fueled by her own struggle to find an effective, convenient, and trustworthy source for consistent facials, Rachel launched Glowbar in June 2019. Since then, Rachel has reinvented the facial with Glowbar by eliminating consumer anxiety and expensive add-ons and focusing on helping others feel confident in their skin. 

Rachel has earned recognition as a Beauty Independent Beacon Awards Winner, Beauty Innovation Awards Winner, and a BeautyMatter NEXT Awards Finalist.

Michelle Larivee - Acupuncture and herbs were Michelle’s saving grace after a devastating ski accident left her with chronic pain. Michelle’s deeply personal health transformation through Chinese Medicine, along with her life-long passion to help others lead healthier lives, inspired her to create WTHN. Founded in November 2018, WTHN is the first omni-channel brand for holistic healing rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Nadya Okamoto is the co-Founder of August, a lifestyle period brand working to reimagine periods to be powerful. She is also the author of the book PERIOD POWER: a Manifesto for the Menstrual Movement, and founder and former Executive Director of the nonprofit organization, PERIOD. Outside of her work in the menstrual health space, Okamoto is also a social media creator with over 4m followers on TikTok, producer and host of the podcast, Tigress, a mental health advocate, and known as a Gen Z marketing expert. She recently graduated from Harvard College, class of 2021.

Her debut book, PERIOD POWER, published by Simon & Schuster in 2018,  made the Kirkus Reviews list for Best Young Adult Nonfiction that year. She has been recognized on the lists of Forbes 30 under 30, Bloomberg 50 “Ones to Watch” and People Magazine's Women Changing the World.

Danielle DuBoise - is the Co-Founder of Sakara Life, a wellness company providing the tools to achieve optimal health and vitality. A true pioneer in the health industry, she launched the brand in 2012 with her best friend Whitney Tingle, creating their unique nutrition philosophy which merges modern science and ancient healing wisdom. Since inception, Sakara has transformed millions of lives through its Signature Nutrition Program, functional products, and supplements. Leading a global movement as an advocate for plants as medicine, Danielle became a national best-selling author with Sakara’s debut cookbook EAT CLEAN PLAY DIRTY, and is the co-host of the wildly popular Sakara Life Podcast. A Certified Holistic Health Coach, Nutritionist, and expert in plant-based living and the microbiome, Danielle is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. You can continue to see both personal and professional features of Danielle in the likes of Vogue, NY Times, WSJ, The Coveteur, and goop. Born and raised in Arizona, Danielle stays true to her Sedona roots while living in NYC with her husband, daughter, and son.

🚨 Important Instructions on Accessing the Hudson Yards Community Place:

If you registered by 5 pm on July 29th -

  • Before the event starts, you will receive a QR code to the email you signed up with. This QR code will give you access to the elevators from the first floor.

  • If this is your first time visiting the building, you will need to check in at the front desk to activate your QR code before proceeding up the elevator to the 23rd floor.

  • If you have been to the building before, your QR code is already active, and you can go directly up the elevator to the 23rd floor.

If you registered after 5 pm on July 29th -

  • You will not receive a QR code. Someone from our team will be at the main security desk 5-10 minutes before the event starts to assist anyone who does not have a QR code or access.
