Imani Gardens: Reclaiming Food & Medicine Garden Workshop
🤙 About Event
Food and medicine have always been deeply intertwined, passed down through generations as a source of nourishment, healing, and cultural resilience. In this hands-on, sensory storytelling experience Talia Dotson of Akoben & Co with help from Imani Gardens, we will explore the ancestral wisdom of traditional herbs and edible plants through a guided "Show and Smell" journey.
Together, we’ll engage our senses—touch, smell, and taste—to reconnect with the plants that have sustained communities for centuries. Learn about the medicinal properties, culinary uses, and cultural significance of these plants while honoring the traditions that have preserved this knowledge.
This session is an invitation to reclaim our ancestral roots, celebrate the power of plants, and deepen our understanding of how gardens can serve as spaces of healing, resistance, and renewal. 🌿✨
