Meet Our Speakers
Shaneka Shaw Taylor, is the founder and driving force behind Taylor'd Litigation Professional Corporation, a boutique commercial litigation firm specializing in commercial, property, and product liability litigation. Renowned for her tenacity and trusted for her efficient, no-nonsense approach, Shaneka has built a strong reputation in the legal field, receiving multiple awards for her contributions. She is also a published author. Her notable work being "The Annotated Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002 and Regulations" (LexisNexis Canada). She is also a sought=after international speaker, frequently sharing insights on real property, insurance, municipal affairs, and civil litigation. Called to to the Ontario Bar in 2011 after earning her J.D from Osgoode Hall Law School, Shaneka has made significant strides in the legal community, earning the IMLA Canadian Scholarship (2016) and Precedent-Setter Award (2017) from Precedent Magazine. In addition to her legal career, Shaneka is also a licensed real estate salesperson
Vanessa Bowen, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Master Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner (NLP) and the Founder of Mint Worthy Co. Inc., a personal finance coaching platform that helps women shift their relationship with money and take control of their finances. After a decade in corporate finance and public accounting working with international businesses in Canada and the US, Vanessa decided to pursue her passion for personal finance, shifting her focus to empowering women to live life on their own financial terms. Through Mint Worthy, Vanessa teaches women the fundamentals of personal money management. With her holistic coaching strategies, Vanessa equips women with the tools and methods needed to break bad money habits, create new mindset shifts, and blaze a path to lifelong financial freedom.
Roxanne Francis, is an award-winning Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist. She is the CEO of Francis Psychotherapy & Consulting Services, where she runs a busy group therapy practice with her team. She is also a keynote speaker, leadership coach and corporate consultant who addresses topics related to women’s issues, race & equity, mental health, parenting, and wellness at work. Roxanne supports, and mentors other therapists in the field and is also the media’s go-to mental health expert, providing answers to many of life’s difficult questions. Roxanne is an award-winning CEO of Francis Psychotherapy & Consulting Services, runs a busy group therapy practice, is a keynote speaker, leadership coach and corporate consultant who addresses topics related to women’s issues, race & equity, mental health, parenting, and wellness at work. Roxanne is also frequently in the media, sharing her expertise.
Mara Clarke, is a family law lawyer, owner and operator of The Law Office of Mara Clarke. Her resolution-focused, culturally sensitive approach to family law practice prioritizes her client’s interests and the parties’ relationship, helping them establish the “new normal” that will guide their interactions moving forward. At times, the assistance of the court is required to settle matters, in those cases, Mara offers zealous advocacy, paired with a no-nonsense but reasonable, client-focused approach.
