Panel Theme｜Writing as Resistance
In a world where platforms shape expression, and stories are flattened into content,
what does it mean to write against the grain?

Zines and independent writing have long served as tools of resistance — to challenge erasure, speak from the margins, and hold space for softness as protest.
How do we write in ways that resist not just oppression, but also forgetfulness, silence, and speed?

For our Zine Month closing panel, we invite writers and small press creators to explore how writing can act as a form of resistance — both quietly and boldly.

This is also our first soft opening night of Now Place’s new space — built for stories, publishing, and creative community care.

Writing through identity, migration, and language tension
Independent publishing as emotional truth-telling
The importance of slowness, paper, and physical storytelling
Can resistance be quiet? Can protest be tender?

当主流声音愈发单一、表达变成内容、文字被算法消化，我们该如何重新夺回叙事的权力？
zine 与写作，能否仍作为一种低门槛的出版形式，为边缘者留下说话的空间？
在抗争之外，我们是否也能书写温柔的愤怒、缓慢的反对、生活的缝隙？

Zine Month 的最后一晚，我们邀请几位来自不同背景的写作者与出版人，
共同探讨写作如何成为一种抵抗的形式——对抗遗忘、对抗压抑、对抗沉默。
同时，这也将是 Now Place 此间的新空间首次对外揭幕的一晚。
一个为 zine、独立出版、艺术与社区而存在的场所，将在这场座谈之后缓缓打开。

🪧 座谈话题可能包括：

写作如何回应身份、语言与迁徙的复杂性
如何在独立出版中保有情感的真实性
我们为什么依然需要纸张与手工的叙述方式
抵抗是否只能是愤怒，还是也能是爱与柔软？
