Hospitality Offline | mum x The Offline Club | Mental Health Awareness Week
This Mental Health Awareness Week, mum and The Offline Club invite you to press pause and join us for Hospitality Offline - a gentle evening away from screens in support of Hospitality Action and Kelly’s Cause.
Come unwind in good company, share real conversation, and reconnect with what matters - no phones, no pressure, just presence.
“Stepping away from our screens, even briefly, isn’t just a break - it’s a reset. In a world that demands constant connection, choosing to unplug gives us the space to reconnect with ourselves, our creativity, and the people who matter most.”
- Craig Prentice, mum“The concept of the Offline Club chimes with our mission to improve the mental wellbeing of hospitality professionals. Giving ourselves permission to eschew our devices occasionally and live in the moment can only be good for us.”
- Mark Lewis, Hospitality Action
What to expect:
✨ A calming, tech-free space designed for rest and reflection
💬 Meaningful conversation, journaling prompts & quiet corners to decompress
🎶 Ambient soundscapes + soft lighting for a relaxed vibe
🤝 A chance to connect with others in hospitality, off the clock and offline
The Programme:
🛬 18:00 – Arrival
🕡 18:30 – Settle in, phones off, introduction to the evening
🎨 19:00 – 20:00 | Connect with Yourself – Read, paint, journal, do a puzzle – however you want to spend your time
🗣 20:00 – 21:00 | Connect with Others – Chat, play board games, swap ideas, or just enjoy the space together
🔄 21:10 – Closing reflections & slow goodbyes
“In hospitality, we have a tendency to be 'always on' and accessible, so making the active decision to take time out from our phones when away from work, has a clear link to improved mental health. This event will enable our community to kick start their digital detox to support their good mental health.”
- Melissa Tomsett, Kelly's Cause
We’d love to see you there.
Phones switched off, minds switched on.
