Have you got a pitch for a story you’re keen to write, but it keeps getting turned down, or worse, ignored?

In this 60-minute workshop, we’ll examine examples of good pitches and bad pitches, so writers can see the difference between what gets a busy editor’s attention and what doesn’t make the cut.

We’ll also workshop pitches from select attendees, so writers leave with a freshly polished pitch and renewed momentum to land the story.

And finally, we’ll discuss finding the right contact to pitch, tracking down email addresses, and how many follow-ups are too many.

About Rosie Hopegood

As a freelance writer, her work has appeared in the Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, Vice, Grazia, Reader’s Digest and Al Jazeera. She holds a masters degree in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh, and, even though her ‘to read’ book pile is taller than her toddler, she’s still pinching herself that she gets to read and write for a living.
