Inclusive Design in Tech for Good: Introduction to Digital Accessibility

​How do you create technologies that can truly benefit everyone? When you design tech for good initiatives, are you thinking about seniors, persons with disabilities, or even users on the autism spectrum?

You might be considering your app's visuals to make on-screen elements readable to senior citizens. How do you decide what font size to use? Or colour combinations to provide a sufficient amount of contrast? These are all fantastic questions you might be asking yourself right now. And the good news is that there are answers to these questions!

In this 4-hour workshop, we will explore the fundamentals of universal design principles, with a focus on creating inclusive digital experiences that accommodate users of all abilities. Using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as a foundation, learn how to design and build tech products that ensure usability, empathy, and inclusivity for everyone.
