About Event

The goal of these meetings is to inform the community about ORDAO and test the newest implementation as it is deployed on the Optimism mainnet. Everyone is welcome to join!

This will be very much of interest to developers who might want to integrate with ORDAO, but not just them. It's also relevant for any user of existing ORDAO-based fractals as well as anyone interested in adopting ORDAO for their organization.

What is ORDAO?

ORDAO (Optimistic Respect-based DAO) is a toolset for DAOs that use non-transferable reputation token (Respect). Its main distinguishing feature is a novel approach to dealing with voter participation issues that every DAO faces. It uses something called Optimistic Respect-based Executive Contract (OREC) to enable communities to move forward even in low voter participation contexts, while still providing meaningful security in case of controversial decisions.

Next meeting

This time the topic will be "ORDAO GUI".

Over the last month or so, I've been developing a graphical user interface for ORDAO. It will finally provide a user-friendly interface for the most basic features of ORDAO:

  • Creating proposals (to execute on-chain transactions as a group);

  • Voting on proposals;

  • Triggering the execution of proposals;

  • Reviewing ORDAO proposals and their statuses;

Preliminary structure of the meeting:

  • Presentation of the current version of the app;

  • Test the app together by passing and executing proposals on the testnet deployment as a group;

  • Play Respect game with a prompt "Who contributed the most to ORDAO since the last meeting?", submitting results to ORDAO office hours deployment, through the new app;
