About Event

Feeling creatively stuck—or just want to shake things up?

What if a few playful writing games could unlock your imagination, banish perfectionism, and get the words flowing again?

Join writer and editor Lindsey Trout Hughes for Generative Writing Jam: Quick Games for Fresh Words—an interactive session filled with short, surprising prompts and fast-paced writing games. Designed to loosen up your inner critic and reawaken your creative instincts, this session is all about getting words on the page without overthinking.

Whether drafting something new, breaking through a block, or just showing up to play, you'll leave with fresh lines, new momentum, and a big creative boost.

Writers will leave with:

  • A handful of joyful, generative writing games to try anytime

  • Brand-new writing from unexpected places

  • A more playful approach to the creative process

  • Permission to explore, experiment, and surprise yourself

  • A reminder that writing can be fun

Come as you are. No prep required—just your favorite notebook and an open mind.

We'll also answer any questions you may have about our upcoming four-week 🪄Introduction to Creative Writing course, which kicks off on April 9.
