About Event
The majority of renewable energy sources are characterised by variability and intermittency, making it difficult to predict their power output. These attributes make more challenging the operation and management of power systems because more flexibility is needed to safeguard their normal operation and stability. We'll discuss how new technologies, such as Internet of things (IOT) and Smart Metering, can result in power systems which are more efficient, secure, reliable, resilient, and sustainable by leveraging their data, based on recent commentary by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and associated publications.
