While there is a great deal of analysis about what venture capital funds invest in, there isn’t as much conversation around how the fund is run: fundraising, administration, investor relations, etc. Founding and running a fund is very different from using the money that is then collected to make investments. This webinar will offer a primer on the formation, operation, and management of a venture capital fund. In many respects, this knowledge applies uniformly to growth equity and private equity funds as well. By the end of the hour, attendees will have elementary knowledge about both the investment management industry as a whole and about the back end mechanics of a venture capital fund as well.
