About Event

When parents are chronically stressed, it can lead to blocked care — a self-protective state in the nervous system that makes it hard to connect, respond, or even care. For working parents, this burnout doesn’t stay at home. It follows them to the office in the form of brain fog, low motivation, irritability, and disconnection from coworkers and goals.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn what blocked care is and why it happens

  •  Understand how it affects attention, productivity, and team dynamics

  •  Recognize the signs in themselves or their team members

  • Walk away with nervous system-based strategies that support both personal and professional resilience

About our host:

Melissa Corkum is the CEO and founder of RISE to Regulation, as well as a sought-after speaker and author specializing in blocked care and research-backed strategies to overcome burnout and chronic stress. A TEDx speaker, co-author of Reclaim Compassion, and a certified Safe and Sound Protocol Practitioner, she equips audiences with practical tools for nervous system care and resilience.
