About Kate Gardiner:
Kate Gardiner is the founder of Grey Horse, a full service communications agency often behind the scenes of global crises. An industry veteran, Kate started out her career in journalism and audience engagement, triaging social media for global-facing campaigns including award-winning coverage of the BP Oil Spill (PBS NewsHour), the Arab Spring (Al Jazeera English), Showtime’s Years of Living Dangerously, Hurricane Sandy (New York Public Radio), the launch of Newsweek’s print magazine and Newsweek International. She supported more than a dozen women at the heart of the #MeToo movement. Kate is a member of the 2015 class of Forbes 30 under 30 and a fellow with the National Committee on US-China Relations. She splits time between New York City, Miami and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
The fireside will be a chat between Kate and Leslie Feinzaig, founder and Managing Director of Graham & Walker. In 2017, she founded the Female Founders Alliance, the largest and most engaged community of its kind in America, and its popular founder programs, dubbed “the YC for Female Founders” by Techcrunch. Leslie is a contributing writer at Fortune Magazine, Fast Company and Techcrunch. She was named one of Forbes Magazine's Most Powerful Women from Central America, Worth Magazine’s Worthy 100, Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40, and Seattle Magazine's Most Influential People. Born and raised in Costa Rica, Leslie moved to the US to attend Harvard Business School on a full scholarship. She now lives in Seattle with her husband and two young daughters.
