🎤 About Our Speaker

Ashley Nickelsen is the Founder, CEO, and Chief Snack Officer of B.T.R. NATION, an on-the-go snacking company on a mission to fix our broken food system by reimagining snacktime. When Ashley's parents were both diagnosed with rare forms of cancer and she became their primary caretaker, Ashley became frustrated by the food available in hospitals. With a degree in biochemistry and food studies, Ashley took to the kitchen to create snacks she could trust: low in sugar with simple ingredients: no pesky seed oils or "natural" flavors - just real food. When Ashley's parents passed away, she made it her mission to start B.T.R. NATION in their honor. B.T.R. actually stands for "be BOLD, TENACIOUS & RESILIENT," their family mantra.

Today, B.T.R. NATION has hundreds of thousands of customers nationwide, and you can find their snack bars, protein bars, and chocolates in stores like Whole Foods, Erewhon, and Costco and airports from LAX to LaGuardia. As a mompreneur, Ashley is always striving to make an impact on our food system to build a better nation for her daughter and future generations. Ashley is a proud mama to 2 year old, sassy, vibrant Maddison Marie, who loves joining Ashley's investor zoom calls (as a future CEO in training!).
