Stitchcraft: Beginner Embroidery
Always wanted to try embroidery, but felt too intimidated by intricate designs? We're here to help!
Carly Sorenson, a local textile artisan, is leading us in an Embroidery 101 class—perfect for beginners or those looking to brush up their skills!
You'll learn to thread a needle, set up your hoops, and draw embroidery designs on fabric. You'll also learn basic stitches and get hands-on help as you practice.
𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲:
Instruction on various embroidery stitches (running stitch, backstitch, satin stitch, stem stitch)
Muslin fabric to practice on
Embroidery hoops, thread, and needles for those whose ticket type includes use of QNSC supplies

A comfort using sharp objects like sewing needles and scissors

The Collaboratory is a Masks Required space. We also run two air filters/purifiers during our gatherings. If you don't arrive with a mask, don't worry—we'll have them available at the door.
