Stitchcraft: Beginner Embroidery

​Always wanted to try embroidery, but felt too intimidated by intricate designs? We're here to help!

​Carly Sorenson, a local textile artisan, is leading us in an Embroidery 101 class—perfect for beginners or those looking to brush up their skills!

​You'll learn to thread a needle, set up your hoops, and draw embroidery designs on fabric. You'll also learn basic stitches and get hands-on help as you practice.

​𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲:

• ​​Instruction on various embroidery stitches (running stitch, backstitch, satin stitch, stem stitch)

• ​Muslin fabric to practice on

• ​Embroidery hoops, thread, and needles for those whose ticket type includes use of QNSC supplies

​𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱:

• ​A comfort using sharp objects like sewing needles and scissors

​​The Collaboratory is a Masks Required space. We also run two air filters/purifiers during our gatherings. If you don't arrive with a mask, don't worry—we'll have them available at the door.
