About Event

This event is a part of #TechWeek - a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem.

Join Emmeline Ventures and the USC Marshall Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies during #LATechWeek for a curated breakfast experience at the Women of Color Investing Breakfast at Blackbird in Culver City.

Join top-tier fund managers, asset allocators, accredited investors, angels and ecosystem builders as we have a rich, off-the-record dialogue around expanding deal flow, wealth building and navigating the investment ecosystem as women of color.

This invite-only breakfast is open exclusively to those who are registered for the event.  There is limited availability, so RSVP soon. There is limited parking lot access available for $15 and must be requested in advance / contact us at events@blackbird.house to reserve your spot.

In accordance with Blackbird’s mission to provide safe space for our community, Blackbird has established a vaccination protocol that requires all guests to present an official physical vaccination card or digital vaccination card along with a personal ID to access the space regardless of exemptions or age.

About Emmeline Ventures

Emmeline Ventures is a VC fund focused on female founders. We invest in game-changing businesses which empower women, in particular, to manage their health, build their wealth, and live in a cleaner, safer world. The team is led by three female General Partners, all from diverse backgrounds, who bring 40+ years of investing and operating experience to the firm. Emmeline's investment thesis is anchored in research that points to health and wealth being deeply connected for women, and pivotal drivers of economic success for their families and communities, validated by research from USC's Price Center for Innovation, the UN Foundation, and the NCOA.

About the Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies

The Greif Center offers a portfolio of co-curricular programs to support entrepreneurially inclined students as they seek to think and act creatively, develop and evaluate ideas, launch and growth startups, and more. Our USC Marshall Venture Fund considers investments in ventures with USC alumni, faculty, or staff as founders, co-founders, or senior management team members. Our ATHENA initiative brings together women and allies from across Los Angles and our USC campus each year for an in-depth Lunch & Learn series, a large annual summit celebrating female entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders, and a Female Founders' pitch competition.

Blackbird

Blackbird is a private work and wellbeing collective for ambitious women of color and allies to create positive change.
