The organization was established by the cities of Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas to mobilize diverse community partners around collective action in digital innovation to drive economic development for the bi-state region.
Code for KC is a program and meetup for a community of civic hackers who work on open-source, open-data and need-based projects that benefit the community, and is managed by KC Digital Drive.
