EA Chicago Discussion Club - Giving Tuesday Edition

​Hey everyone!

​This Giving Tuesday, we have $1,000 in funding ready to donate, and we’d love your input to decide where it can make the greatest impact. Join us for a collaborative discussion inspired by the principles of effective altruism, where we’ll explore how to maximize the good we can achieve together.

​At the end of the evening, we’ll hold a vote to select the most effective cause or organization to support with this donation.

​To kick off the discussion, we’ll start with Giving What We Can’s Recommended Charities (link here). The EA Forum is also voting on charities that can best use additional donations - Link here

​If you have time, please take a look at these links before the event. If you know of other organizations worth considering, feel free to share them with me beforehand!

​📅 Date: Giving Tuesday, December 3rd
🕒 Time: Doors open at 6 PM (drop in anytime!) Discussion wraps up around 9–9:30 PM.
📍 Location: Community room at 454 West Division St. Dial 125 on the buzzer and I can let you in. Community Room is on 3rd floor. Take a right off the elevators and go all the way down the hall.

​We’ll provide food, snacks, and drinks to keep the conversation flowing. If you’re planning to attend, please register on Luma to help us prepare.
