K's Kettle with Guest Nicole Kelner
Join us for a cozy comic-making session with cartoonist K. Woodman-Maynard and guest artist Nicole Kelner where we'll be drawing short comics on the theme of weather.
In K’s Tuck Everlasting and The Great Gatsby graphic novels, weather plays an important role in the story, and she’ll share how she depicts it in comics-specific ways. Nicole uses art as a tool for climate communication, bringing a unique lens to our theme.
K and Nicole will chat while we all make comics for about 40 minutes. No pressure—just a welcoming space to create, learn, and connect. For the last 15 minutes, for those who want to, we’ll share our comics together.
Bring your sketchbook, tablet, or favorite drawing tools, and get ready for a cozy hour of storytelling and drawing in good company.
All skill levels welcome!
