About the speakers:

Alp Kucukelbir, Ph.D. - Chief Scientist, Fero Labs: Alp is chief scientist at Fero Labs (factory optimization software for industrial decarbonization) and adjunct professor of computer science at Columbia University (teaching "Machine Learning & Climate"). He recently co-authored a report "Artificial Intelligence for Climate Change Roadmap", which was launched at COP28. He has over 9000 academic citations and holds a Ph.D. from Yale University, where his research won a best thesis award.

Giulia Siccardo - Director, Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains: As the Director of the Department of Energy’s Office of Manufacturing & Energy Supply Chains, Giulia is responsible for awarding government investments to strengthen and secure U.S. manufacturing capacity and workforce development. In addition, she administers the Defense Production Act for critical energy technologies. Her scope includes batteries, hydrogen, heat pumps, solar, transmission, and zero-emission materials. Siccardo was previously a Partner at McKinsey & Company and leader of McKinsey’s Green Growth service line. For over a decade, she has focused on scaling low-carbon systems and value chains across major corporations and emerging start-ups, covering zero-emissions energy, vehicles, and materials. She is recognized for her leadership in advancing women in the energy sector.

Josh Brumberger - CEO, Utilidata: As Chief Executive Officer, Josh is responsible for driving Utilidata’s strategy, growth, and advancement. He is an expert on the intersection of technology and public policy and strives to build partnerships that ensure innovative solutions can succeed at scale. Prior to joining the company in 2014, Josh held senior roles at Fortress Investment Group, the Office of the Rhode Island General Treasurer, and on national political campaigns. He is a graduate of Northeastern University, and lives with his wife and three kids and dog outside Providence, RI.

Tim Boeltken - Co-Founder & CEO, INERATEC: Tim Boeltken is the co-founder and CEO of the leading e-fuel company INERATEC, steering the company’s strategy and innovation into the next era of energy. INERATEC is at the forefront of deploying several industrial-scale sustainable fuel projects to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), clean diesel and gasoline, amongst other clean fuel solutions. Under Tim’s leadership, INERATEC has received several prestigious awards, acknowledging its groundbreaking technology and its contributions to sustainability, including the German Founders Award, the EARTO Award of the European Union as well as being recognized as the Top Innovator by UpLink, the Innovation platform of the World Economic Forum. Tim is an accomplished chemical engineer (PhD) with vast industry experience in the fields of hydrogen production, catalysis and petrochemistry.
