About Event

Join us for this first intriguing industry talk in our DAO series from Daniel Ospina, former head of governance @ Aragon, instigator @ RnDAO and co-founder of TogetherCrew.

The keynote will be followed by a Q&A and an Apero.

DAOs started as direct democracies. Following concerns about tokenholder engagement and decision throughout (poor adaptation capacity), DAOs then evolved to representative democracy. However, the new configuration has made them more prone to principal-agent problems, while low engagement and throughput are still major problems.

Daniel will share about different organisational experiments that are taking shape across the ecosystem, and how we can triangulate between these experiments, web2 corporations, and key theories across psychology, economics, and organisational science to map better answers for DAOs.

This event is organized by the UZH Blockchain center and is co-hosted with DAOSuisse.
