Yes on L Lit Drop in Garfield Square
We're out here to help prevent incoming Muni service cuts. Drop by any time between 5–7PM to grab some campaign lit and head out into the neighborhood. We'll assign you a block.
What's a lit drop?
We take our campaign literature and place it on doors and gates in the area. You'll come get a stack of lit, a block assignment, and then off you go! It's not canvassing — we're not knocking on doors. Heck, put your headphones in, listen to music, get your evening walk in.
What are the posters?
We've used letter-paper sized posters throughout the campaign. We tape them to utility poles following the city rules. They've been shockingly effective and they'll help add to the "billboarding" effect of lit dropping in an area.
What should I bring?
Just yourself! We can provide bags to carry lit in but if you find it more comfortable to have a bag you sling across your body then we recommend bringing a canvas tote. Bring water and a snack. Some of us will probably grab some food and drinks nearby and bring it back to the park to hangout.
Postering Rules
There are some important postering rules. We'll add you to our volunteering Slack where you can find all of them. The highlights:
You must write the posting date in the bottom-right corner.
Only use tape to affix posters!
Only attach to lamp or utility poles.
Don't put a poster on a pole that already has one of our posters.
Do not affix them to Muni bus shelters, parks, in Union Square Plaza, or where listed on the postering rules document.
Remove the poster within 70 days or 10 days after election day.
