About Event

This is a community-submitted, collaborative event between Growclass, BCJobs, and the Marketing on Mars podcast.

It takes confidence to successfully land a new role, especially a role you really want.

How do you cultivate that confidence, though? And how does it translate to getting hired?

In this collaborative session hosted by Growclass in partnership with Simon Chou—CEO of BCjobs & host of Marketing on Mars—you’ll have a unique chance to explore that topic.

Join us for a panel discussion where we’ll ask your questions (submit one when you register!) to two seasoned marketing executives, Sarah Shewey and Bethany Hale. You'll come away from this session with:

  • Practical job seeking guidance from successful marketing leaders

  • Fresh inspiration to help you navigate your job hunt

  • A glimpse into the US vs. Canadian job market

About your hosts:

Simon Chou (panel moderator) is the CEO at BCJobs and Host of the Marketing on Mars Podcast. He's a startup entrepreneur, advisor and executive who is super passionate about community building and keeping things light and candid. He's also a lover of hot sauce — he’s spicing things up with a Marketing on Mars twist!

Sarah Shewey (panelist) is the Founder & CEO at Happily as well as the CEO and a Co-founder of TEDActive. She is an inspiring and creative leader passionate about community and bringing bold ideas to life through experiential storytelling.
