​Description

​In this week's class, we will be decoding Chinese landscape aesthetics and the philosophy of literati painting. Then, we will be practicing composition methods through rock-and-mountain studies, using fundamental tools (brush, ink, paper, inkstone) in Chinese painting. 

​We will provide ink, paint, brushes, and paper for class use. You may take all the artwork you’ve produced with you!

​Every “Ink Painting Lab” is composed of lectures on Chinese ink art history, painting technique demonstration and practicing sessions. You can click on this link to learn more about the full semester class. Classes are beginner-friendly. Themes are interconnected yet self-contained. Students may come for the full 8-week class, specific topic(s) and/or at any point in the semester!

​All purchases are final. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled class will not be eligible for a refund.

​To maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable art-making environment for all participants, we kindly ask that no outside food or drinks are permitted. We do serve non-perishable drinks as part of Accent membership’s benefit. You may enjoy them in designated areas. If you have specific dietary needs or medical conditions that require personal food or drinks, please notify the studio in advance so we can make appropriate accommodations.
