About Event

San Francisco Conservatory of Music hosts a future food reception/tasting event during the production of Cendrillon (Cinderella in French!)

Before the show begins at 6:30 pm, audiences are invited to a pre-talk discussion panel with various professors and members of the AI, Climate and Robots community. The purpose of this discussion is to have an open forum in which everyone is asked questions like: “Where do you see your industry in 2050? How do we get there? And how will this change the world?"

The show continues with Pauline Viardot's fairy tale salon opera of the Cinderella story (set in the year 2050!)

The performance takes place in the Barbro Osher Recital Hall at the Bowes Center. Seating will be in the round, providing a more intimate setting experience for the audience in this chamber opera production.

Audience members are encouraged to come dressed in costume for Cinderella’s masked ball in the year 2050! Use your imagination and expect surprises!

The opera will be sung in the original French with English dialogue by Rachel Harris. Featuring original music by Jarron Carlson ’24.

During the intermission, you can experience futuristic meat alternatives from Planetarians, offering a GHG footprint 10x lower than currently available on the market, as well as amazing fries with 30g protein, which replace calories with nutrients.
