From HODLing to WINing: Exploring Home Nodes, Staking Services, and Liquid Staking for a Sustainable Future
Welcome to eth65, Singapore’s Non-Profit Eth+ Community, where we introduce and explore staking to both beginners and experts alike through our 3 speakers and a panel together, where we will cover any questions you have - as well as the impact of the recent Ethereum finality issues on staking.
Our Co-organizers, Menyala have a mission to build ventures using disruptive technologies to benefit humanity and have provided the venue and moderator for this talk.
Samuel Chong, CFA
Samuel is a self-taught Ethereum node operator and runs Stakesaurus - helping aspiring home-stakers get started with their first Ethereum validator node in a truly self-custodial manner. Samuel is also a CFA charterholder and spent 5 years as a SEA-focused venture capital investor at TNB Aura. He’ll be walking you through the Journey of a Home Staker, which is an excellent way to grok staking for those who want to understand more.
Plato, Core Dev, Gnosis
Plato is a pseudononymous OG who works with Gnosis and Ethererum. A home staker, he has a 5 minute lightning talk about how to learn staking by setting up with Gnosis, as recommended by EthStaker, as well as a step by step post on how to build hardware in SIngapore
Paul is an OG crypto security auditor and work he has done includes audits of ShapeShift, Enzyme, and 60+ others. He’ll introduce the audience to secure self-custody staking with multi sigs and the DVT architecture used for nodes to scale staking, so the audience understands the effort required to stake at scale. A must attend for institutions, traders and more technical folks.
Sukvheer Singh, Earth Wallet
Sukhveer is a long time BUIDLer in the space, a far cry from his initial aerospace engineering roots where he previously worked for NASA on mission critical software. Concerned with sustainability and the impact that crypto has on the climate, he’s working on Earth Wallet to bring liquid staking yields to wallets - as well as impact the climate in a positive way. This is a great talk for degens and regens alike.
Siddharth Krishnan, Menyala
Siddharth is a Technologist at Menyala, a venture builder by Temasek. He is also a member of Kernel, Mina Foundation’s zkIgnite grants committee and seasonally covers research and investments with Superscrypt. You can seek him out if you share a keen interest in games, building for public goods or making tradeoffs in web3.
