​As part of the TechPark CV Inauguration, our side event is the official presentation of the Government of Cabo Verde’s new package of tech ecosystem initiatives, with an investment of over 2 million U.S. dollars.

​These initiatives include:

• ​Training, certification, and job placement of over 1,800 youths.

• ​Support to 500 innovators through hackathons with cash prizes

• ​⁠Incubation and formalization of at least 200 businesses

• ​⁠Mentorship and technical assistance to 200 startups

• ​Strengthening of tech hubs across all islands

• ​⁠Support and integration of 50 startups led by the diaspora

• ​Digitalization of strategic sectors, and

• ​⁠Strengthening internet connectivity with a 5G strategy!
