About Event

Overview:

The MIT Technology Review reported that training just one AI model can emit more than 626,00 pounds of carbon dioxide equivalent – which is nearly five times the lifetime emissions of an average American car.

Advancements in AI/ML and Accelerated Computing have the chance to transform the way we do our work and solve complex problems faster than ever.  Compute is expected to account for ~8% of global energy consumption by 2030.  We need the power of computation to reduce the time to innovate and deploy climate solutions, but we also need to power that computation in a climate aligned way.

Audience:

Come network with  like-minded leaders and builders spanning AI, Climate, and Computing to discuss potential solutions, and see a showcase of how CrusoeCloud is helping the AI community build better, without the carbon footprint.

  • 5:30 - 6:00 pm | Welcome – Grab drinks and meet our speakers and other guests!

  • 6:00 - 6:30 pm | Showcase of AI projects running on clean compute

  • 6:45 - 7:30 pm | Networking

About Crusoe:

We power, own, and operate data centers with stranded energy such as flare gas 🔥 and underloaded renewables♻️, so for every GPU hour you use on CrusoeCloud, you're offsetting 0.5kg of CO2e, or approximately 4.4 metric tons over an entire year. The more compute you use, the more CO2 and other greenhouse gasses you offset.

This event is a part of #TechWeek - a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem.
