​About the speakers:

Nela Braun, as NIF’s fund-of-funds investor, she focuses on strengthening regional defence capabilities, fostering European deep tech ecosystem growth, and enhancing global recognition in emerging areas. She connects with venture capital managers across the NATO region. A passionate supporter of impactful entrepreneurship, Nela graduated from UC Berkeley in just 3 years and served in the US Air Force ROTC military program as the only international student accepted. She also founded a nonprofit in Croatia supporting landmine victims that collaborated with the Ministry of Defence. Nela holds a master’s in business management from Imperial College and has venture capital experience from Europe and the United States.

Joram Voelklein, founding partner of Alpine Space Ventures, is an entrepreneur and investor with a finance background, involved in innovative and emerging industries. He has a proven track record of identifying and investing in promising opportunities, particularly in the NewSpace industry, supporting companies through critical growth phases and successful public offerings.

Stanislaw Kastory, Founding Partner at Expeditions Fund, a private VC fund focused on investments in early-stage dual-use and defense as well as cyber security and quantum computing companies  globally. His goal is to steer private wealth towards investments crucial from the perspective of our security and the security of future generations. Stanislaw holds an MA diploma in Law and Administration from Warsaw University
