Research workshop: Monitoring sustainable development in the era of AI
Overview:
The Graduate School of International Development and the Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research at Nagoya University are pleased to organize the research workshop entitled "Monitoring Sustainable Development in the Era of AI: Integrating Satellite Images with Survey and Administrative Data. In the new era of artificial intelligence (AI), this workshop serves as a platform for interdisciplinary research collaboration, bringing together experts from diverse fields such as space-earth environmental studies, development studies, area studies, economics, data science, and geoinformatics.
The workshop aims to provide an overview of new methodologies and databases to monitor sustainable development. Specifically, participants will explore innovative approaches to enhance our understanding of sustainable development by integrating satellite images with socioeconomic surveys and administrative data.
