Meet the Speaker

Mike Ives

Manufacturing IIoT Product Management Supervisor

Mike has worked at Ford for 11 years, most of it in manufacturing IT. He started at Rawsonville Components Plant as a part of Plant IT, providing support for IT capabilities directly relevant to the plant. After getting his MBA from Michigan, he moved into IT Product Management, joining the IIoT team during the early stages of platform development. During his time with IIoT, Mike and his team members have largely focused on developing end-user applications on top of the IIoT platform to prove out its value and improve the day-to-day processes for all manufacturing personnel.

Cameron Shortz

Manufacturing IIoT Product Management Supervisor - IIoT Platform

Cam has worked at Ford for 10 years, all within various manufacturing IT roles. After graduating from Michigan Tech, he started at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant as an IT Engineer specializing in vehicle scheduling. He then moved to Ford's in-plant implementation team supporting new model launches in North America and South America. His next role was moving over to IT Product Management, joining the IIoT Team to build the manufacturing data platform. Today, that platform supports the ingestion of data from all of Ford’s manufacturing facilities around the world. In his spare time, he manages and coaches the Aviators travel lacrosse program, supporting athletes from 6th grade to seniors in high school. He lives in Grosse Pointe Farms with his wife Aimee, two kids, Alexandra and Archie.
