Mitigating Urban Heat - with Tree San Diego

Tree San Diego will unveil their methodology, data collected by their dedicated team, and reveal the story behind the numbers. Through the Urban Heat Islands research, the organization explores the potential of trees in mitigating the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect.
This initiative aims to provide critical insights into strategic tree planting and maintenance effectiveness in cooling urban areas, fostering healthier, more resilient communities. It underscores the importance of understanding UHIs for addressing urban environmental challenges.

San Diego Green Drinks (SDGD) is a monthly networking group for professionals or individuals interested in the sustainability field. We typically meet on the third Thursday of each month at a local bar to discuss different environmental issues with a speaker followed by open networking. These events are casual, drinking is optional, and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
