​Join Slow Night as we celebrate our favourite time of year: spooky season!

The Sun in Scorpio invites us to get in touch with the shadows and explore themes of power, transformation, and emotion. We’ll have two rooms of arts and crafts for you to explore and play with (and feel free to embrace the woo-woo vibes as much or as little as you like!)

As always, all art and craft materials are provided, no experience required. All you need to bring are good vibes (and bonus points for costumes!!)

​What we're doing:

​Open sketching:

​Dream up unique ideas for your art with our Halloween-themed prompt generator

​"Stained glass" painting:

​Paint your own stained-glass effect piece to use as a bookmark or suncatcher

​Still life sketching:

​The vanitas table we’ll sketch is rooted in artistic tradition and explores the concepts of time, pleasure, and death — ideas associated with Scorpio’s energies

​Spell casting:

​Take a beat to reflect on life’s trajectory. Whether you’re manifesting big things 
or celebrating small wins, we’ll have handmade paper and adornments to record your intentions and imbue them with power

​Tarot reading:

​A powerful tool for self-reflection, let the cards grant you guidance, insight, and perspective. (Limited tarot tickets available—first come, first served!)

​Costume contest:

​If you come dressed to impress (and you are hiiiighly encouraged to do so!) you can go home with bragging rights and a Slow Night prize pack!

​Ghoul dinner:

​The bar will be open all night with snacks, light bites, cocktails and mocktails available for purchase

​Plus free entry to the afterparty!

​If you’re down to turn up, you’re in luck — this ticket gets you free entry to Halloween @ 1611! With open mic karaoke and two DJs on deck, you can sing and dance the night away with a spooky cocktail in hand. (10:00 pm ’til late)

​​Tickets can’t be refunded or exchanged, so please be sure about the date before you reserve. If something comes up and you’re unable to make it, you’re welcome to have a friend attend in your place!

​​Media release:

​​We take photos and videos at our events for marketing purposes, so if you attend, you or your work may be recorded. By attending, you confirm that you’re cool with that, and that you won’t hold us (or the companies we partner with) responsible for any damages.

​​Abandoned artwork:

​​If you leave your artwork at the end of the night, we may use it. If you want to retain your rights under the Copyright Act, please take your art home with you or let us know before you go. We will never claim authorship of abandoned artwork.
