Biopunk Community Presents: Battle of the GM-Nos!

​The year is 2145. We've been living in the Singularity for a bit now and it's getting boring. To spice it up, you've been invited to a gathering to design conceptual organisms that should never see the light of day. GM-Nos.

​Over the course of an hour we'll gather to play a creative experimental game to combine plants, animals, bacteria and more in unholy combination where the most horrific and ridiculous combination will win a prize. Stop on by for a fun way to kick off the week + an easy way to meet other people interested in the weird counterculture of biotechnology.

The Biopunk Community is a nonprofit community laboratory that provides open access to tools, training and space for early stage biotech projects to incubate. The Biopunk Community enables access to shared equipment, low-cost shared benchtops, and educational skill-development workshops in order to enable opportunities for people to experiment across the bioeconomy.

And to do that in a space infused with playfulness, aliveness, agency, earnestness, abundance, and kindness. Most concretely, we are a place where people are exploring new modes of being with self, others, and the world – and we invite every adventurer who is excited to be in the questions of who they are, and how they want to be in the world
