Impact Investing + Digital Health Crash Course with Padma Rao

​Padma is a seasoned leader with expertise across early stage venture capital, digital health, and impact investing. Most recently, she led and managed the world's largest health innovation portfolio at StartUp Heath, where she worked closely with 400+ startups helping them level-up at each stage of their development and raise over $1.5B of capital. Prior to StartUp Health, she was Head of Community at Laconia Capital, a sector-agnostic early stage venture fund leading investments in pre-seed and seed stage B2B software companies. 

​Padma spent the early part of her career in global health and international development at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) where she advised governmental and nongovernmental organizations on policy focused on the development and testing of new healthcare technology and improved access to medicines and care delivery in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

​At present, Padma is the VP of Investor Relations and Capital Formation at Epicured, a NYC based food-is-medicine startup, where she is leading the strategy for the company’s Series B fundraise.
