We’re proud to announce that the City of Houston will recognize June 24th as "Community Investment Day” 🎉

This date honors the groundbreaking work of Magnolia Fund HTX - the first community investment fund created to allow local residents, business owners, and those who love the East End to invest directly in their own economic future

A truly special date, June 24th is also the birthday of our beloved co-founder emeritus, Marcelo “Ox” Garcia III, whose vision and belief in community power helped launch the Fund — and who led the way by becoming its very first investor. 💪🏽❤️

Together, we've turned a bold idea into reality: a community-owned commercial kitchen that supports local food entrepreneurs and builds wealth right here at home.

Enter Council Chambers by 1:15 PM. Council Chambers is located on the 2nd floor of City Hall.

There is limited public parking available at City Hall Annex located at 900 Bagby, between McKinney and Walker Streets. The lot is across from the Hobby Center facing the I-45 freeway ramp/Allen Parkway. If by chance the Annex parking lot is full an alternative option would be the Tranquility Parking Garage located under Tranquility Park and accessible via Rusk St. (511 Rusk St).
