this is the third workshop of our series exploring the creation of intentional spaces, a container for resources, and a forum for floating ideas. for this event, we want to hear from you! we will gather to share our recent experiences as event organizers, including roses and thorns. we will breakout into groups based on themes that emerge in order to collaboratively ideate and hold space for one another 😽😽😽
we intend to nurture an on-going conversation that may turn into a collective resource that can be shared with our communities, or a communal art project/toolkit on the multifaceted aspects of holistic harm reduction 🧚🏆⚖️

FLAMER X Queering Existentialism ✨
Bios:
Gina (she/they) is the founder of Queering Existentialism, a community event series focused on education and connection through a lens of transformative justice and holistic harm reduction. They earned their Masters of Public Health from NYU, and are passionate about co-creating engaging spaces where folks can reflect on the healing aspects of community, altered states of consciousness, dance and sexuality.
Cameron (she/they) serves as FLAMER’s Director of Development, working towards a future where cannabis use and safety go hand in hand. With their Masters of Arts in Teaching, Cameron’s priority on making education fun and accessible pairs well with her background of cannabis industry knowledge. Reach out to Cameron for all things related to FLAMER operations, harm reduction, and education; or just say hi!
Katarina Bartel, LMSW (she/her) is a social worker and psychotherapist based in NYC, providing both trauma therapy and psychedelic assisted therapy and integration. In addition to her clinical work, Katarina enjoys facilitating healing-centered harm reduction workshops for community building in NYC. Katarina is passionate about applying an anti-oppressive lens to her clinical work and loves using mindfulness and dialectical strategies to help others build lives in which they feel whole and fulfilled.
Luke (he/they) is FLAMER’s Director of Events, bringing nearly two decades of hands on experience in people gathering. With a background in psychology, communication, and health science, Luke honed their skills in community engagement during the pandemic and beyond. They’ve spent five years as a community manager in the tech and gaming industries, including developing an HR Community Engagement strategy at Epic Games for 15,000 employees. Luke’s work has also been featured on the Mapping Ties: Stories of Togetherness at Work podcast, reflecting their dedication to building inclusive and meaningful community spaces.
