Advancing Precision Medicine Beyond Oncology
Precision medicine is no longer confined to oncology or dependent solely on genomics. A broader, more dynamic paradigm is emerging -- one that redefines how we get the right treatment to the right patient across all disease areas.
At Primary Venture Partners, we believe this shift -- powered by deep clinical data and AI -- isn’t just technically ambitious. It signals a systemic transformation in how drugs will be developed, evaluated, and delivered over the next decade. And for life sciences companies, it presents a clear trade-off: reinforce your position -- or be disrupted.
We’re convening leading minds at the forefront -- those shaping how precision medicine will scale beyond oncology, even as the path is still being paved.
Panelists include:
Adam Platt - VP & Head of Respiratory & Immunology Translational Sciences @ AstraZeneca
Nick Gossen - Chief Growth Officer at Dandelion Health
David Ouyang - Cardiologist and Research Scientist @ The Permanente Medical Group & Assistant Professor @ Cedars-Sinai
Join us for a forward-looking panel moderated by Sam Toole, Partner at Primary, followed by open Q&A. Together, we’ll explore what precision medicine can become -- when we reimagine not just the tools, but the systems and strategies behind them.
This event is invite only. Spots are limited.

More on Primary: Primary Venture Partners is a leading seed-stage VC firm in NYC that backs some of the most innovative founders across specialized industries. We take a low-volume, high-conviction approach -- because we devote unreasonable resources toward building unfair advantages. Our differentiator, unheard of in seed VC, is Primary Impact: Outnumbering investors 2:1, this team led by C-suite execs makes hires, signs customers, and secures next rounds to supercharge the growth of the most successful startups in NYC and beyond.
More on Sam Toole: Sam is a Partner at Primary, where he spearheads new enterprise and healthcare investments. The Nantucket native and Hamilton alum was previously the GM of Physician Marketplace for Nomad Health, where he helped lead the company’s sales team from seed through a Series B. Sam’s entrepreneurial career started as the founder of ACK Surf, a surf school on the island of Nantucket, then continued with the creation of a DTC lifestyle clothing brand. Outside of work, Sam enjoys golfing, surfing, and snowboarding, and he hopes to one day live by the beach again.
