About Event

We will intentionally taste some fine tea and chat. Come for any of the sessions, for any period of time!

Some days will be themed as a potluck - you may be invited but not required to bring a fine tea to share.

Aug 5: Tea Potluck!

You are invited but not required to bing a fine tea! Please also bring a brewing vessel so we can brew several at once. As always, tiny cups are requested! All tea welcome including herbal, blended, non-caffeinated and from all cultures! Invite +1s!

I will bring:

Pinnacle Grade Gyokuro: The finest of Japanese loose leaf green tea, which is Matcha before ground to powder. Very rich in umami like broth.

Sobacha: Roasted barley tea, non caffeinated and chill to drink.

July 15: Tea Potluck!

You are invited but not required to bing a fine tea! Please also bring a brewing vessel so we can brew several at once. As always, tiny cups are requested! All tea welcome including herbal, blended, non-caffeinated and from all cultures!

Event cap is removed. Invite +1s!

I will bring:

Song Tea and Ceramics Nantou Roasted Oolong: SF-based tea house in Filmore, toasted and caramel.

Stem Hojicha: Raosted green tea stems, it's sweeter and more savory than leaf hojicha. My fav kind of hojicha!

June 24: Traditional Pu'er:

Leave your tea at home today. Instead we will focus on some traditional Yunnan Pu'er I will bring. Those are the most traditional and oldest tea cultures of China, and the world.

Yiwu Raw: Called 'Queen' of Pu'er tea, this is sweet, light and elegant.

Lao Man E Ripe: Thicker and more full bodied than usual ripe, it reminds me of chocolate and coffee.

Lao Ban Zhang Raw: Called the 'King' of Pu'er, this is bitter, complex and herbal, and feels medicinal and mentally stimulating.
