Shine! A peer support group for female and gender diverse students
Shine is a new professional peer support group for female and gender-diverse Memorial University students. The group is being jointly supported by the Cenovus Centre of Excellence in Sales and Supply Chain Management, Centre for Social Enterprise (CSE), and Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship (MCE).
The intent of the group is to provide female and gender-diverse students with guidance, support and inspiration as they prepare to navigate the challenges of workplace dynamics.
Thursday, February 6th
12 noon - 1:30pm
Social Changemaker Space, BN-4015 (fourth floor of the Faculty of Business Administration)
Topic: Have you ever been criticized for being "too loud" or "too bossy" when speaking passionately about a topic? This session is all about owning your power, expressing your thoughts with confidence, and navigating the fine line between being assertive and being perceived negatively.
Lunch will be provided.
Space is limited, registration is required.
