5050 Climb

​​Join fellow scientists and engineers this Saturday for some bouldering, where we will be chatting about transforming breakthrough research into impactful startups!

• ​​1:45 - 2:00 PM - Check in and meet fellow researchers.

  • ​Preregistration is recommended if new to London Climbing Centres

• ​​2:00 - 3:30 PM – Bouldering! Whilst crimping 9c's, we’ll discuss questions like:

  • ​​Is my research addressing a large enough market?

  • ​​How do I build the right team?

  • ​​Am I the right person to lead this startup?

​​We’ll also share a brief overview of 5050, a free 16-week program from Fifty Years that equips scientists and engineers to launch civilization-defining companies. For more inspiration, check out the Spinout Playbook to see how others have gone from lab to startup.

​​This meetup is part of an initiative to bring researchers together through shared interests, nurturing the spark that can lead to groundbreaking ventures.

​The cost of climbing and shoes are included but if you're new you'll need to pay a £2 registration fee.​
