Job seeking and networking during COVID-19 — Join a team of designers from LinkedIn share some tips around job-hunting and networking during COVID. Hear first hand as the designers share their personal experiences of struggling to find a job during a recession and how they applied networking to help them with landing a job. The session will be focused primarily on best practices around networking, how to message your personal story, and how to set yourself up for job hunting in this newly remote global environment.

Ying (she/her) is a UX and product designer at Honeywell. She kicked off her career creating digital solutions for Fortune 500 clients before transitioning to enterprise UX to tackle B2B product challenges. In addition to being an ADPList mentor, she's also the co-organizer of Ladies that UX Atlanta, a design community focused on career growth, community learning, and building relationships among diverse women and non-binary folx.

Fun fact: In her previous life, Ying broadcasted smooth jams through the airwaves of Atlanta as a radio DJ 🎧

🇺🇸 Antonio Song— Associate Product Designer at LinkedIn

Antonio is a designer born in Seoul, raised in Beijing. With previous intern/apprentice experiences at PayPal, Venmo, and Apple, he's currently shaping News & Publishing future at LinkedIn NY. His favorite weekend is a sip of coffee at Bryant Park or a walk along the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.

Fun Fact: In a parallel universe, he could’ve been pursuing a career in acting - he somehow made it to the final round audition for Mulan, the Disney film as Mulan’s little brother (a role that got removed later) 🎬*

🇺🇸 Katie Jacquez — UX Designer at LinkedIn

Katie is a User Experience Designer on LinkedIn’s advertising platform, Campaign Manager. She is a career shifter – prior to becoming a designer she worked in marketing and strategy for 7 years. When she’s not in the design studio, you can find her hiking a trail or making photographs. She has a Master’s of Interaction Design from the California College of the Arts and Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan.

Fun Fact: Katie is an avid photographer and hiker 🥾

🇺🇸 Kristine Yuen — Design Manager at LinkedIn

Kristine is a Design Manager at LinkedIn, leading a team of designers to create the best customer experience for the Pages product. She has been at LinkedIn for 4 years. Prior to her current position, Kristine was a consultant at Deloitte Digital for 5+ years working with different Fortune 500 companies on building mobile and web products. She takes a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses the fields of design, business, and technology. Outside of her daily work, Kristine enjoys mentoring and coaching aspiring UX designers and students.

Fun Fact: Pre-COVID, Kristine really enjoyed to travel and I’ve been to over 55 countries across 6 continents (Antarctica is the last one left) ✈️
