Generative Color by Matt Deslauriers
Generative Color is a workshop for creative coders and artists working with code that explores the science and theory of colour. Learn how light and wavelengths are transformed into RGB pixels, dive into the basics of procedural colour techniques, and learn to work with a variety of colour spaces and transformations as it applies to the broad field of generative art.
Knowledge of JavaScript programming, basics of using an IDE like Visual Studio Code, and basics of navigating your terminal/shell to run CLI programs is required for this workshop. We will write programs and build simple 2D generative sketches, using local development tools in your own code editor. No matter whether you are only just getting started with JavaScript development, or already working as a frontend or backend web developer, or even a skilled generative artist, there will be something in this workshop for you.
