Break into Software Engineering | General Assembly x Forte

​There are Software Engineering Scholarships available for eligible South Australian residents.

​The 12-Week Full-Time Software Engineering Immersive course runs from 3 April - 29 June 2023 and is designed to give you the skills and support needed to land a great job in tech. It features expert instruction, one-on-one career coaching and job search support to get you hired.

​We believe there should be no barriers to accessing high-quality education that helps people build a meaningful career. General Assembly is proud to partner with Forte and the South Australian government to offer the 12-Week Full-Time Software Engineering Immersive (which usually costs $15,500) at no cost for students. You do not need to have tech experience to apply.

Break into Software Engineering
Despite popular myths, you can become a software engineer without a uni degree in Computer Science. Whether you’re entering the workforce or looking for a career switch, becoming a software engineer is definitely within your grasp—as long as you’re willing to put in the hard work.

​This event will give you a chance to meet the General Assembly & Forte teams, learn how to break into Software Engineering (… even if you don’t have a uni degree!) and what it takes to get your foot in the door and hired as a software engineer.

They will share insights around their decision to step into the world of coding, how they used their new skills to transition their career or level-up in their current role, navigating the opportunities for software engineers and much more!
