Grid Capacity and Readiness for EVs
Richard Mueller will present DTE Energy’s Transportation Electrification Plan, focusing on grid readiness and its role in expanding EV infrastructure. Learn how DTE is tackling key challenges through innovative grid simulations, managed charging strategies, and $145 million in investments to support over 19,000 new chargers, including DC fast chargers for public, transit, and school use. Discover how planning tools and programs are helping customers transition to EVs while ensuring grid reliability and equitable access to charging in underserved communities.

Richard Mueller is the Engineering manager for New Technology, Standards and Grid Interconnections at DTE. He has more than 20 years of utility experience focusing on testing and implementation of distribution automation, distributed resources and microgrid integration, transportation electrification, SCADA and Operational Technology systems deployment.
