Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) (pilot course)

What is MBSR?
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based programme that integrates mindfulness, meditation and mindful movement. It’s a structured 8-week course designed to:
Build self-awareness
Shift self-defeating thoughts and habits
Cultivate a calmer, more compassionate way of being
This transformative program invites you to discover practical tools for navigating stress and improving well-being.

be present – for yourself and others
strengthen focus, calm, and mental flexibility

Course Structure and Commitment
When:
Eight in-person classes on Mondays, 18:15 - 20:45h (2.5 hours each)
One all-day mindfulness session on Sunday, 09:30 - 16:30h
Schedule:
Weekly Classes: 20/01, 27/01, 03/02, 10/02, 17/02, 03/03, 10/03, 17/03
All-Day Session: 23/02
Where: Commons Hub (Rue de la Madeleine 51, 1000 Brussels)
Home Practices:
Daily meditation: 30 minutes
Simple awareness exercises: 5-10 minutes
Materials provided: guided practice audios, handbook, and follow-up support emails
Participants: 6-10 people
Language: English
Price: As this is a pilot course, the price is donation-based. The donations will help cover the cost of the room and materials. A suggested price range will be shared to guide your contribution.

About the Teacher
I’m Rebeka, and I’m currently in the process of becoming a certified mindfulness teacher. This course is part of my certification journey, and I’m excited to share the transformative benefits of mindfulness with you. I’ve been passionate about the mind-body connection and mindfulness for some time now. My background includes a Master's in Philosophy of Mind, which deepens my understanding of how our thoughts and body interact. While I am still growing as a teacher, I am deeply committed to supporting you throughout this course and creating a nurturing, open space for learning.
