About Event

Food Innovation Estonia brings together researchers 👩🏽‍🔬, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to explore the future of food through innovation, collaboration, and cutting-edge technology 💡

The day begins with insightful talks 💬 and a curated tasting of novel foods 🧁, followed by a panel discussion highlighting current challenges and opportunities in the field. After a joint lunch, the focus shifts to structured matchmaking between research and industry to spark new partnerships and project ideas 🔄.

Food Innovation Estonia is part of the official side programme of Latitude59 2025. No Latitude 59 ticket needed!

Upon selecting a ticket please pick between morning session only, afternoon matchmaking session only or full day. Note: lunch is shared for all participants.

II Food Industry and Research Matcmaking

Connecting researchers and food industry companies to inspire new R&D collaborations.

13:20 – 13:25            Introduction to the food focus area of the TemTA Programme
13:30 – 13:50            "Developing Successful Products in Collaboration with Scientists: Case Studies", Rain Kuldjärv (TFTAK, Head of Functional Foods and Beverages Group) 🇪🇪 🎙️
13:50 – 15:00            Structured matchmaking 🔄:
Elevator pitches and table discussions between researchers and companies. Participants are invited to share their research topics or industry challenges to identify collaboration opportunities.
15:00 – 15:30            Closing notes and informal networking

Throughout the day, it will be possible to ask questions and get information about public sector funding and support programs.

The event is free for participants and is co-financed by the European Union.

*Participants who take part in novel food tasting in the morning session must acknowledge that they are voluntarily tasting novel food products that have yet not been accepted by European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and agree to do so at their own risk. Novel food tasting is possible only upon registration and signing a content form upon arrival.
